You Belong in the Baby Boomer Generation

You fit in best with people born between 1943 and 1960.
You are optimistic, rebellious, and even a little self centered.
You still believe that you will change the world.
You detest authority and rules. Deep down, you’re a non conformist.
Now isn’t she the cutest little beatnik type? That picture actually reminds me of my mother’s wedding pictures and pictures of her in the first few years of marriage and motherhood!
Ya’ll take the test and let me know what you got in the comments!

Jim Kukral is always talking about his Flip cameras and how cool they are! I want one so badly! They’re so darned cute, for one thing! Ha! And now he wants to know what color yours is, if you have one! Just listen up here - to what he has to say about it:
So they’ve got pink, which is pretty cool, but, I would love a fuscia one! I just love fuscia!

You damn fool, migraine - sneaking into my beautiful Thursday morning and snatching precious vocabulary out of my brain! How dare you! That’s right - I know you’re there, I feel you coming. And more than that, my drastically-reduced mastery of the English language speaks of your imminent arrival! Be gone, you worthless bastard!
Look, you were just here on Monday - and in a BAD way, you struck me like you haven’t struck me in ages, forcing me to call my husband in tears, begging him to come home, because, it hurt so badly. Don’t you think you’ve done enough?! ….for at least a week or so?!
It’s a beautiful day, I’m starting the day showered AND dressed (oh, rareness!), my son gets to go to the Renaissance Faire, ALL three kids went to school (faire) in a GOOD mood (oh RARENESS of rareness!). I’m starting the day off happy and motivated - you should seriously leave now. You’re not welcome on days like today.
I know that my glands are still terribly sore and tender, and you view any neck or shoulder pain as a gold-embossed bloody invitation - but….

I just downloaded the Flock Browser: Eco-Edition and I love it! I’m so excited about it! Today is, after all, Earth Day - no better day to discover such a simple way to not only give back, but, stay on top of all things Eco-conscious happening around the world! Now I don’t really know if their launch of this version was planned specifically for Earth Day, as it looks like people have already been using it. I happened to find it on Earth Day and I think that’s really cool.
The Eco Edition is really cool, because, it comes with all kinds of eco-news already loaded into all the cool feeds that Flock is known for having. Flock is the ’social browser’, made to accommodate those of us who are heavily into social networking on the internet. It is also very handy for bloggers, as you can blog right from your browser, if you would like. One of my favorite things is that you can drag and drop stuff from one place to another with Flock. If there’s a really great picture that I come across and I really want to share it with my dad, all I have to do is drag it into an email and send it to him. I love that!

Now I know my friends up north are looking at our pitiful snow on the ground with the grass sticking up through it and laughing! But we really enjoyed it - probably much in the same way that you would get a kick out of wearing shorts on Christmas!
We were actually lucky enough to have snow on three separate days this year, which was really great, because, last year we didn’t have any at all. And last year was our first year out here, having moved from Texas, and back home (last year) they got snow several times. It was just one more thing for me, as a mother, to feel guilty about. Every time the phone rang, and we were excitedly informed by a relative back home that they had snow, the kids glared at me! Rotten, I tell ya, they’re just rotten!
Well, the Universe came through for me this year and here is our little video with some of our snowy activities!

Look people, if you’re going to have the gall to try to scam me through my email - could you please at least SPELL things correctly? Would it hurt? Damn creeps need to just stay the hell outta my email anyway!
Watch out, everybody - be super cautious when reading emails! Don’t just click links automatically - I know we’ve been told this again and again, but, as it’s still happening (the emails) - they must be getting somebody with their nefarious email misdeeds! And that, in turn, means that the warning bears repeating, as well!
And I am more than happy to do that, and include a copy of the make-your-eyes-bleed-with-misspellings email!

This is so cool, I’m so excited about this upgrade! I’m mainly excited, because, of the cool stuff you can do with pictures! That will be extremely helpful on this blog, since I like to post lots of pics/vids for the family back home in Dallas, and my bro and his fam in Colorado. And it will be great on my husband’s business blog, too!

Man, oh man! We’re under a tornado warning until 3pm and a tornado watch until 9pm. We don’t, however, have time for any of this! All three of my kids have plans this afternoon/evening and this just won’t do! Here’s the blurb from the school district website:
STUDENTS BEING HELD IN SAFE AREAS
After the Tornado Warning is lifted, parents may check children out. However, buses may still be held based on the anticipated time before more severe weather may be in the immediate area.School will not be dismissed on time, but will be dismissed as quickly as possible this afternoon.
They are not even coming home at the regular time, because, of the scary, creepy weather. I suppose there could have been news of this hours ago, and maybe even a day or so ago, but, I had no idea! To me, it was just a regular ol’ day! And then POOF! come 2:00pm, a mere fifty minutes before expecting my first delivery of monsters, there were all the icky warnings! I hate that, hate that, hate that! I want my kids home with me, for number one, when it is storming badly! And also, I got nervous they were gonna be on their buses. And if they aren’t getting on their buses, when are they going to get on their buses??
And worst of all…

Recently I told you about Ash (Ashley) and V (Veronique) being some of the coolest people on the IZEA team - and I never really got around to telling you what inspired me to share that with you! They are both two very nice ‘faces’ to the company - they are both personable and approachable. And now they have started ‘having lunch with all of us’ every Wednesday, via webcam and chatroom. It’s been a really fun experience!
At one of the chats, I asked them if I sent in some goodies, if they’d send me some updated schwag. I’ve got PPP schwag, but, I haven’t gotten anything with the cool, new parent company name or logo on it. (The new parent company is IZEA. All of the fun, useful, goofy, awesome companies that get started over there, fall under this umbrella, IZEA.) And without missing a beat, Ashley told me to email him my shirt size. Now how cool is that? Without even a second thought, he was gonna go to the trouble of picking out some goodies for me and sending them my way! And they got here so quickly, too!
